Mahesh Thakur & Upasana Singh to enter Yeh Ishq Haaye

Akshay (Raunaq Ahuja) and Manjiri (Srishty Rode) have come to Mumbai and are on the lookout for Ranbir (Rahul Arora) in Star One and Panglosean Entertainment’s Yeh Ishq Haaye. They are literally on crossroads and do not know how to go about in their hunt.

At this outset, Akshay befriends a Punjabi couple who help him in his struggle. Mahesh Thakur and Upasana Singh play the new entries in the show.

Our source states, "Mahesh Thakur essays the role of Happy Singh, who is basically a ‘Jack of all trades’. He owns a taxi service, a lodge and many other things. He bumps into Akshay in Mumbai and comes forward to help him. Upasana Singh plays Happy Singh’s wife who is again a very nice and pleasing lady".

Mahesh Thakur who is presently seen in Star Plus’ Sasural Genda Phool has started shoot from today. Upasana who plays a negative role in COLORS’ Rishton Se Badi Pratha will have a positive and comic role to play in the Star One show.

When contacted, Mahesh Thakur confirmed the news, "Yes, I am entering Yeh Ishq Haaye. I play a very happy character, aptly called Happy Singh. I have a different look too in the show, and sport a moustache and turban".

Upasana too confirmed that she would play Mahesh Thakur’s wife in the show. However, she has not started shoot yet.
