The episode starts with Shiv asking Kartikeya where was he when Indra was fighting with Shumbh, Nishumbh, and Namuchi. He asks if he doesn’t think as a dev senapati, he should have helped Indra. Kartikeya asks if he is saying he didn’t perform his duty. Shiv says he is talking to him calmly as a friend and making him understand that he should follow his duty first. Kartikeya calls Parvati, Nandi, Gan, and Indra. They walk in, and Parvati asks him what happened. Kartikeya picks his dev senapati crown and says he resigns from the position of dev senapati immediately. Parvati and Indradev ask what is he saying. Kartikeya says what is the use of being in the position when he can’t follow it’s duty. Indra says their issues are personal and he shouldn’t sacrifice his designation for that, asks Mahadev to explain him. Kartikeya says he is sacrificing his position on Mahadev’s insistence.
Shiv asks Indra to accept dev senapati’s crown as they shouldn’t force a person with a responsibility if he can’t follow it, Kartikeya is still a kid and his age is of playing with his parents and friends, responsibility can be followed at a later age. He tells Kartikeya that he took a decision after much thought. He walks away from there while everyone stand stunned. Kartikeya returns crown to Indra and challenges him to snatch Indra’s crown soon. Indra asks Parvati why is Kartikeya behaving like this. Parvati asks Indra to leave as everyone are lost in their own problems.
Laxmi looks at tulsi plant and shaligram. Narayan walks to her and says she has right to get angry on him, he never wanted a third person between them, he is apologetic that a husband lost trying to follow a creator’s duty. Laxmi reminds him that when she was born, he was told that his wife will understand him completely. Narayan holds her hand and smiles at her. Narad emerges, greets them, and says seeing their facial expression, he can imagine the situation here; love is in the air.
Parvati walks to Mahadev and asks him what did he tell Kartikeya. Shiv says nothing that would make her nervous. Parvati says just like any mother, she wants her son to fulfill his wish; her son wants to become Indralok’s king, will he just wander as Shiv and Parvati’s son and not have his own identity. Shiv says he didn’t say that Kartikeya’s identity would be just their son. Parvati says she can foresee the future and is worried for her son’s future. Shiv says he will calm her down right now and keeping his hand on her head takes oath that he will make Kartikeya understand the value of responsibility and will get him ready as a senapati like any other father does. Parvati asks him to make him capable of becoming devraj. Shiv says it’s impossible. Parvati says if Mahadev wants, anything can happen.
They hear a a lady chanting om namah Shivay and praying shivling. Rambh and Diti search for her and find her plan to kidnap her. Parvati asks Shiv to protect the lady from them.
